True U Class held Sunday nights at 6:30pm
We are studying the True U curriculum each Sunday night at 6:30pm in the Fireside Room. Below is a summary of the True U program from their website:
TrueU is a DVD-based apologetics curriculum. Dr. Del Tackett, architect and voice of Focus on the Family's The Truth Project®, describes this endeavor this way:
"TrueU is an apologetics training series primarily geared to help prepare high school students for the rigorous challenges and attacks that will confront them on the university campus. My guess is that it will end up benefiting a whole lot more folks than just high school seniors."

ZionChildCareCenter and Preschool is founded in Christian ministry. To this end ZionChildCenter and Preschool believes:
We are dedicated in providing a Christian atmosphere where children can develop a positive self-image and learn to care about other people.
Our curriculum emphasizes the truths of the Bible and reinforces parents as spiritual leaders while offering opportunities for creative expression, constructive play, social and emotional interaction communication skills, physical development, practice in reasoning and responsibility. We believe the primary area in which learning takes place is play, children learn by doing. Our center offers a “hands on” approach to learning. This style of early childhood education is designed to foster creativity and expand self-expression. Self-esteem and individuality are nurtured while providing children with a sense of belonging and acceptance.
We believe that parents are the first and most important teachers of their children. Parents are encouraged to participate in a variety of center activities, including birthday and holiday celebrations, walking trips, field trips, fundraising events, and social activities. Parents are welcome visitors in the classroom at all times.
We believe that children need a safe, clean, healthy and stimulating environment in which to grow and develop emotionally, intellectually, physically and socially. By providing a healthy and safe environment and the tools children need, each child can build a solid foundation that will carry them through a lifetime of growing and learning.
We believe in guiding children through their play. Through play, children will learn cognitive, language, physical and social skills.
Children go through different stages of development. We believe it is important to look at his/her stage and to plan developmentally appropriate activities and help him/her reach their full potential.
Mission Statement
Zion Child Care Center & Preschool provides full and part time care. The program provides a loving, Christian environment designed to be developmentally appropriate for children 6 weeks to 5 years old that are not attending Kindergarten yet.
Preschool programs are based upon the principles of developmentally appropriate practice. Our goal is to give each child a warm environment that encourages the development of socialization skills, independence, and positive self-image. Our experienced teaching staff embraces the view that each child is a unique person with an individual pattern and timing of social, physical and intellectual development. Teachers manifest their respect for each child by encouraging them to think for themselves, to make decisions, to work toward their own solutions, and express their own ideas and feelings. We recognize and foster an active partnership between home and school. ZionChildCareCenter is designed to assist parents in guiding each child in the ways and instruction of our loving God.
“We will guide your children in their spiritual and developmental Journey.”
Goals:
Provide loving, nurturing, Christ-centered learning by qualified Christian Early Childhood professionals in a State licensed facility. Provide opportunities for learning of Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior through formal and informal living-learning experiences among parents, teachers, and children. Provide opportunities and activities to help each child develop a healthy concept of themselves and others, allowing them to value the talents and gifts God has given to all.
Promote positive social relationships by providing opportunities for children to work and play cooperatively.
